Facility Overview
Roanoke City’s #5 is LEED Gold certified. A rainwater harvesting system and a permeable paver parking lot are a few of the green site features. Other sustainable features include high efficiency lighting systems, automated HVAC and lighting system controls and high efficiency heating, ventilating, and air conditioning systems.
Amenities
The two-story 13,400 square foot facility houses a community meeting room for neighborhood organizations, training room, offices , living quarters, kitchen, exercise room and central dispatch/alarm. The apparatus bay holds four engines. This area uses radiant heating.
