Good Samaritan Hospice is Now Open!

After 18 months of construction, the new Good Samaritan Hospice facility is now complete and open for use. This 30,000 square foot establishment stands as a premier staple in the hospice care community, offering state-of-the-art amenities and compassionate care for patients and their families.

Facility Overview
The building is thoughtfully divided into two main wings: the hospice wing and the office wing. Each wing is designed to cater to specific needs, ensuring a comfortable and efficient environment for both patients and staff.

Hospice Wing
Patient Living Spaces: The hospice wing houses 16 living spaces, each designed to provide comfort to patients.
Social Areas: Multiple living room spaces are available for social interaction and family visits, fostering a sense of community and support.
Dining and Kitchen Facilities: A kitchen and dining area ensure that meals are readily available, catering to the dietary needs of patients.
Amenities: The wing is equipped with various amenities, enhancing the quality of life for both patients and workers.

Office Wing
Office Spaces: Approximately 36 office spaces accommodate the administrative and operational needs of the facility.
Conference Rooms and Storage: Multiple conference rooms and storage areas support the functionality and organization of the facility.
Restrooms: Conveniently located restrooms are available throughout the wing.

Outdoor Garden Area
Adding to the serene environment of the hospice, a brand new garden area is expertly designed to provide tranquility and beauty. This outdoor space features:
An elegant archway serving as a welcoming entrance.
Multiple flower beds, offering vibrant colors and scents.
Walking paths that invite patients to enjoy the fresh air and natural surroundings.

Moyer Sports Complex is Here!

It is complete! The renovations to Moyer Sports Complex by G&H Contracting are now finished. July 8, 2024, the City of Salem celebrated the projects completion with an inaugural ribbon cutting ceremony. The ceremony featured The City of Salem’s Mayor Renee Turk, Director of Parks and Recreation John Shaner, G&H’s own senior superintendent Donald Gibson, City of Salem and State representatives, and tens of spectators eager to see all the new amenities the complex has to offer. The Complex comes equipped with four brand new state of the art regulation softball fields, 12 new pickleball courts, new lighting, shading, and PA systems throughout the complex, and many more amenities to make this complex a top venue for sports for the foreseeable future. G&H Contracting is proud to have a hand in building something so important to our hometown community, and is thankful for the work from all parties to make this vision a reality for our home, the City of Salem.

Dairy Queen Daleville Now Open!

G&H Contracting just completed the construction of a new Dairy Queen in Daleville, VA. This Dairy Queen is located directly in front of the Daleville Town Center, also constructed by G&H Contracting. This 3,400 SF restaurant was constructed by G&H’s project manager Nick Harvey, and superintendent Mike Dudley. Together they completed this Dairy Queen on time, and to the fullest extent the Owner anticipated. HVAC, electrical, rough carpentry and sitework were the biggest highlights of this job, while also working with Dairy Queen representatives to get the exact finishes and look of the newest Dairy Queen model. Ridge View Bank Headquarters Groundbreaking

On October 5, 2023, G&H Contracting, inc. was ecstatic in its inclusion in the Ridge View Bank’s Groundbreaking ceremony. This ceremony, held on the job site on Franklin Road in Roanoke, VA, was one to remember. Initial Construction will begin on their new 16,000-square-foot Headquarters building in just a few short weeks. This project contains a critical nine-month timeline and will serve as an operable banking branch accompanying Ridgeview Banks’ Headquarters and offices. In attendance during this ceremony were members from G&H Contracting, Ridge View Bank, CNB Bank, Balzer and Associates, Ascent Engineering Group, and representatives from the Mayor’s Office in the City of Roanoke. G&H Contracting has been blessed to partner with Ridge View on two other branches so far, and we look forward to getting started on this new project together.

Parks BMW Now Open

Parks BMW at Peters Creek Road in Roanoke is now open!

G&H Contracting, Inc. was approached in early 2022 to build a highly developed and unique BMW dealership. This 10,000-square-foot showroom utilized advanced design and luxury accommodations that one would expect when purchasing a vehicle from a BMW dealership. This showroom encompasses multiple futuristic glass offices, comfortable conference rooms, a two-bay garage, meeting rooms and social lounge areas for customers. This dealership is one of many G&H has worked on but stands out with detailed tile work, modern finishes, and a glass storefront. This astounding project, located at 2006 Peters Creek Road, was completed on time and on budget.

Ridge View Bank Opens 2nd Branch at Smith Mountain Lake

On June 29, 2023, Ridge View Bank, during a ribbon-cutting ceremony, celebrated the opening of its second branch in Hardy, VA. G&H was Ecstatic to have been Included in the construction process of this one-of-a-kind branch. Throughout this exciting process, G&H was able to Utilize ideas from Ridge View’s first branch in Salem, VA. G&H maintained a strict timeline and budget throughout this project, encompassing positive relationships with the owner and other team members. G&H Contracting is proud to be a partner of Ridge View Bank and looks forward to working with them in the near future. This branch can be located across the street from Westlake Corner near Smith Mountain Lake.

 

RDG Filings New Building Now Open

In July of 2022, RDG Filings opened their Recently Developed 13,000-square-foot building. This SEC filing agency Consisted of offices in multiple states that had outgrown their current office buildings and were looking to expand. The Opportunity with this new client for G&H was an exciting build in the heart of Salem, VA. This new building consisted of two stories alongside contemporary glass offices, multiple conference rooms, dramatic drop-ceiling designs, a third-story rooftop deck, and an engaging lounge area. As G&H always strives for, this project was completed on time and within budget, with the employees of RDG happy to move into their new building.

Colonial Elementary School Opening

On March 10, 2021, G&H Contracting, Inc. was proud to celebrate the opening of Botetourt County’s newest elementary school. Botetourt County’s first new school in thirty years! Colonial Elementary encompasses an outstanding 82,500 square feet, consisting of brand-new classrooms, a larger cafeteria and auditorium, a state-of-the-art gym, and a brand-new library. This school sits on a 26-acre site, creating ample room for buses along with more parking, a recreational field, and a playground. Fire Station 7 Ribbon Cutting

On February 24, 2021, G&H Contracting, Inc. was proud to hand over Fire Station 7 to the City of Roanoke for their official ribbon cutting! This was a very exciting project, Including the new construction of a two-story firehouse in the heart of Roanoke, VA. During construction, G&H incorporated aspects of the previous 90-year-old building to commemorate the fire station’s history throughout the City of Roanoke. These aspects are present in the foyer entrance of the building, including concrete squares from the demolished station that were placed into the brick wall to pay homage to those who served. In the lounge area, G&H was additionally able to use the front end of a retired fire truck to frame the TV.
