Floyd County’s Business Incubator

The Floyd County Business Incubator features five suites, including one clean room and two conference rooms. Constructed of Structural Insulated Panels (SIPs) on the roof and walls, it features electronic door controls and security systems for multiple business access. Timber framing and a vaulted gallery highlight the common areas inside the facility.

Colonial Elementary School

The county’s first new school in 30 years, Colonial Elementary School was developed on a 26-acre site to better accommodate the county’s growing population. The previous school was outdated and severely out of space, so a special emphasis was placed during design on adding functional space and utilizing bright colors and various shapes in the school. The EDA and County had a very aggressive timeline of a year and half in order to have the school ready to open at the start of the school year. G&H completed this project on time and on budget despite several weather and site related delays.
